1. Take Photos of Your Walls

  • Use your phone or camera to take clear photos of the walls where you’d like to display artwork.
  • Try to get as front-on as possible so the wall looks straight (not at an angle).
  • Make sure the whole wall is in the frame, including nearby furniture, windows, or doors. This helps with scale and visualising how the art will look in your space.
  • If possible, take the photo in natural light (open curtains/blinds) so colours and details are clear.

2. Measure Your Walls

  • Use a tape measure to measure the width and height of the wall space you’d like to fill.
  • If you plan to hang artwork above furniture (like a couch or bed), measure the space above the furniture to the ceiling.
  • Write down these measurements, or even better — add sticky notes with dimensions on the wall before taking your photos.
